Just over a year ago, Prince William and the Catherine “Kate” Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge, married and awarded the nation with a four day weekend. And now our precious Queen has ordered her minions to have an extra 2 days off along with a royal tea pardy on the King’s Road.

Oh how we Brits love our royals….and bank holidays.

Lighting up for Christmas in Chelsea

The Christmas lights in Chelsea town will be lit up on Saturday 5 November with the added bonus of some “snow”, so mark the date on your calendars!

Harrods opened their Christmas department in August, festive wrapping paper has started to appear in WHSmith’s around the royal borough, and we even heard what sounded like a holiday jingle on the radio the other day. Christmas is coming in all its Coca-Cola advert glory people.

My Notting Hill: Isobel Williams

Meet Isobel Williams, a Notting Hill resident and artist who sketches awesome portraits of people at will and at random (with permission of course!). She even drew me during Notting Hill’s Operation Cup of Tea and was also present at the King’s Road one. You can find her sketches on her blog.
